Dexter




Basada en la novela de Jeff Lindsay, "Darkly Dreaming Dexter", Dexter es una serie de suspense narra la historia de un hombre extraño llamado Dexter Morgan. Cuando era niño, Dexter (Michael C. Hall), fue maltratado y abandonado por sus padres, ahora es un exitoso e importante forense patológico... pero bajo su carismática personalidad, se esconde una terrible verdad. Dexter ha canalizado sus innatas necesidades homicidas en una segunda profesión que guarda celosamente en secreto: buscar, dar caza y asesinar brutalmente a despiadados criminales que han conseguido evitar caer en las garras de la ley.

Huérfano desde los cuatros años y albergando un traumático secreto, Dexter es adoptado por Harry Morgan (James Remar), un oficial de policía de Miami, que conoce las tendencias homicidas de Dexter y enseña a su hijo a canalizar su horripilante pasión por la vivisección humana, y dedicarla a un objetivo mucho más constructivo, así como a saber cubrir su rastro y no dejar pruebas de sus actos.

Debido a su perfil de miembro respetado de la fuerza policial, perfecto caballero y amable con los niños, Dexter es una persona a la que es difícil no querer. Y es que aunque su tendencia a matar es inquebrantable, se esfuerza mucho por simular emociones normales y guardar las apariencias de ser humano socialmente responsable y comunicativo, a lo que le ayuda su relación con Rita Bennett (Julie Benz), una mujer que se recupera poco a poco de la brutal violación que sufrió por parte de su ex-marido, y que trata de comenzar una relación sentimental con Dexter, pero no conoce las aficiones que tiene en su tiempo libre.
